The liberal website for this shirt asks: "Tired of seeing the 'Religious Right' twisting scripture to support dividing people rather than uniting them?"
Obviously they don't even know what God meant when he said "Be fruitful and multiply!" Who's twisting Scripture for their own purposes here?
This shirt would mean something completely different than the liberals intended if my wife or I were to wear it in the company of our six children.

For our purposes (those who believe in multiplication). The second phrase ought be, "Not -" as in the case of abortion.
Subtraction, indeed, describes the pro-abortion crowd well. They subtract human lives by murdering God's children before birth. But division works best to characterize the mathematics of the contracepting crowd. They seek larger and larger divisors to shrink the quotient.
Since the average family size currently is the two child family, 2÷1=2 works perfectly for them: zero population growth. And for those who prefer the depopulation of the earth, 2÷2=1. The crazy environmentalists prefer even larger divisors than 1 or 2 so that the quotient (the average number of children per couple) will be even smaller, accelerating the depopulation of the earth for the sake of the poor, innocent snail darter.
As a Lutheran, I would argue that using inflammatory labels such as "liberal" and "pro-abortion" do indeed divide us as children of God.
In addition, do you know of anyone who is actually "pro-abortion?" If you argue that it's just another way of saying pro-choice, aren't you guilty of doing the same thing as the t-shirt... over-simplifying and misrepresenting a complex issue?
Division is not always a bad thing.
Yes, I know of many people who are actually "pro-abortion."
And, no, I do not believe it is an oversimplification to identify "pro-choice" as "pro-abortion." Abortion is murder. Being "pro-choice" means that you think murdering unborn children should be a legitimate choice. That's being pro-murder with regard to unborn children (i.e. pro-abortion).
If the "choice" was the murder of adults, you wouldn't hesitate calling "pro-choice" "pro-murder."
